My story begins in Jamaica, where my roots continue to shape how I see the world and tell stories through my lens. My name is Racquel P. Henry, and I’m the photographer and creative behind 𝑷𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑯𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉𝒚, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.


Growing up with very few family photographs to look back on taught me the importance of preserving memories. When my father brought home his first Nikon camera, my fascination with photography began. That childhood curiosity eventually became a lifelong passion for capturing the people, places, and moments that tell our stories. Needless to say, I’m a proud 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝑵𝒊𝒌𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒓.


My journey led me to F.I.R.S.T. Institute, where I completed my studies in Digital Photography. I'm also a proud member of Black Women Photographers (BWP) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA), communities that support my continued growth as a photographer and creative.


Today, I specialize in events, portraits, family photography, couples, and intimate elopements. My approach is rooted in authenticity, connection, and storytelling. I believe the most meaningful photographs often come from genuine interactions and unscripted moments. My goal is to create a comfortable experience where you can simply be yourself while I document the moments that matter.


Beyond client sessions, **More Through My Lens** is where I share the places, nature, everyday moments, and personal stories that inspire my creativity.


Guided by faith, shaped by my Jamaican heritage, and driven by a passion for storytelling, I believe every photograph is an opportunity to preserve a piece of someone's story for generations to come.
